Jessica Simpson is one of America's utmost renowned  and best loved pop singers nowadays. She rose to her popularity and prominence during the mid 1990's with the new release of her leading complete full length pop CD, 'Sweet Kisses', and has since starred in a couple TV shows, made appearances in many movies, and has started her own line of beauty products and cloths.

Jessica made her first serious movie appearance starring as Daisy Duke in the summer of 2005, and is reportedly involved in a number of movies being produced now, including one by Quentin Tarantino. She also intends to release a fourth album in the spring of 2006.

Born in 1980 in Abilene, Texas, Jessica Ann Simpson is the first of two daughters to her parents Joe Truett Simpson, a Baptist clergyman, and Tina Ann Drew, a Sunday school teacher. She was raised in Richardson, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, and began her singing career in a Baptist choir at the age of 12. Also at age 12 she unsuccessfully attempted to sign up for the 'New Mickey Mouse Club', whose members included Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake, among many others that would ultimately become celebrities at present.

Jessica Simpson was stumbled on by a Christian record recording label while she was singing at a church camp-ground. With their help, she began recording her really first album during high school, but the label went bankrupt bit before it was ever released. Instead of completion high school, Jessica left during her senior high school and went on a trip to further a demo CD that was produced by her grandmother. She never returned to high school, but rather earned a GED equivalent.

Jessica went on a tour with the Christian Youth Conference circuit, the album of which peaked the interest of Tommy Mottola, from Colombia Records. Jessica Simpson music was signed on as a pop signer, and with Colombias assist launched her first album, 'Sweet Kisses', in 1999. She has since release two additional albums, all of which have topped charts around the globe, her third album being her most successful in sales, selling three million copies in the US States.

Jessica Simpson married Nick Lachey in 2002, and began her career as an actress by starring with her spouse in a reality show called 'Newlyweds', which showed on MTV. For three seasons, the program had a big viewing across the states, as fans seemed drawn into the 'dumb blonde' antics Simpson was by now known for displaying. She has made several appearance in other TV shows, although has yet to star in additional truth show since the last since of Newlyweds in 2005.
